Video screensaver mac download12/19/2023 ![]() Now you can simply press the close button, to close the settings section, you can change the screen saver timings if you want, by default you can see screen saver on your Mac after five minutes of idle mode. If you want to enable or disable any widget, then you need to tick mark the check box in enable option. The enabled widgets are listed with green colored symbol, while the disable one’s are showing with red colored icon. Now head over to the overlays section, here you can customize the appearance, by enabling or disabling any widget, the list include widgets such as message, clock, date, location, battery, weather, countdown, and timer. You can even add these videos to favorites section, by simply tapping the star icon available in the preview window, it will save the video on local storage.Īfter selecting a few videos, you can customize the screen saver window, by opening the Settings section in Aerial Companion app, the icon (gear icon) is listed in the top left corner of the window. ![]() Now you can check all the video shots available in the Aerial Screen Saver application, by default, only a few screen savers are saved, but you can simply download the other videos from the collection. Once selected, you can click on Screen Saver options button, this option will allow you to customize the Screen Savers. This option will open Desktop & Screen Saver settings page, you can simply select Aerial from Screen Saver section, it will change your Screen Saver to the Aerial Screen Saver (aka Apple TV Screen Saver). Now click on Open settings option from the drop-down menu. Once done, Click the Aerial Companion app icon listed in the top menu bar. You can now setup Aerial Screen Saver, simply tap on next button a couple of times, you can enable beta releases option, if you want to receive beta updates of the application. Since you’re using the app for the first time on your Mac, you need to give a permission to the app, by simply tapping the open button. Personally I moved the video file into the Screen Savers folder and referenced it there.Now head over to the launchpad or applications folder and open the Aerial Companion app on your Mac. You cannot delete or move the video file! Note that the screen saver you created does not actually store the video, it only references it. Next open up System Preferences → Desktop & Screen Saver, and you'll see your newly installed screen saver available from the list You can get there by pressing ⌘ + Shift + G while in Finder. Take your exported Quartz Composer screen saver and plop it into ~/Library/Screen Savers. Simply Export the file and you're good to go! Installing the Screen Saver This is all you need to loop a video as a screensaver for Mac OS X. Click the Image output on the Movie Importer node (the video node) and connect it to the Macro Patch's Image input.Drag and drop the video file in question into the editor's field, it should create a new node.Delete all nodes but the Clear, Billboard, and Resize Image if in Preview nodes.File → New from Template, choose Screen Saver.Open Quartz Composer (requires XCode, a separate download for XCode 6.1).In the above screenshot, that's literally all I had to build for my screensaver. Enter Quartz Composer. I extracted the above loop from the music video and, using HandBreak, converted the file to a H.264 video in a MP4 container. According to the YouTube description, the music video was directed by David Rudnick & Daniel Swan. It's called Core by RL Grime and the visuals are stunning.
